Clay Zuba is a writer, teacher, and educational influencer based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Clay holds a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware (2016) with a specialization in American literature. His academic accomplishments include presentations to the Modern Language Association and the University of Macerata (Italy), and a twelve-month fellowship at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. He has published research in several peer-reviewed journals, including Early American Literature, as well as a chapter in the book Community Without Consent: New Perspectives on the Stamp Act (2016).
In 2023, he completed an unpublished manuscript for “Love in the House of Seven Gables,” a prequel to Nathaniel Hawthorne’s iconic 1851 novel The House of the Seven Gables.
Most recently, he invented Zubafy, a popular Youtube channel, as an innovative platform to teach reading, writing, and literature to high school and university students in the digital, streaming, on-demand age.
He has taught literature and writing at secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels. He currently teaches at Xavier College Preparatory High School, in Phoenix, Arizona, in addition to Arizona State University.
